In the 2th year of Kyoho (1717), the Yano family, who moved from Omi to Kiryu for the first time, Kanoemon Yano, was in the second year of Kanen (2). "Is the name of the shop. It is the predecessor of today's Yano Co., Ltd. As the times went by, we also brewed miso and soy sauce, and built 1749 buildings called "Arinkan" such as brick and salt that still exist as Kiryu City designated important cultural properties. "Arinkan" is now a base for cultural activities as a multipurpose festival venue.
Adjacent to the Yurinkan, there was the former Maehara Mansion where Kazuharu Maehara, who was the first publicly elected mayor of Kiryu City after the war, worked on education and cultural administration. In 2017, Yano Co., Ltd. bought this former Maehara residence, restored it, and opened a new store in April 2019 at the restaurant “Omiya Miyabe”.
The GUD block is laid in the garden of Kihei Omiya. According to Sumio Konogi of Yano Co., Ltd., we were asked to utilize the local products for the restoration of the former Maehara House, and we chose the GUD block developed by us GUDi.
